Mammodance, 2022-2023

In 2022 the concept of Mammocracy evolved based on the fact that mammals essentially need to nurture and support each other for survival. They do not need to kill each other for survival.

This lead to Mammodance 2022/23: Dancing regularly in public space and inviting passersby to join.

From October 2022 to April 2023 we performed every Monday.

Summeracademy Ramallah 2012

The concept is to bring international participants to Palestine for a visit full of creativity, inspiration and professional exchange. The teachers will be from the region. The first run of 15 scholars originating from New Zealand to Canada had to be canceled because the funding institution resigned last minute.

I worked three years on the concept, the funding and the organisation. Uncountable thanks go to Maria Resede, Laila Huber, Tobias Hammerle and Piet Six for their incredible support.

Jeanskamel 2016-2023

Jeanskamel was founded in 2016 to offer a room for co-working with refugees, sewing, recycling creatively together and selling the products. Soon the 30 sqm space in the center of Salzburg became a bee hive for diverse cultural activities. In 2019 Jeanskamel moved to Vienna and continued to empowering people from all walks of life with creativity until 2023. A non funded initiative.

The years of Jeanskamel were amazing and changed my understanding of the world completely. Without financial resources I was able to find a space (two times!), helping hands to cook and sew together, to make music, to dance - and much more! With every new challenge appeared a person to solve it. Jeanskamel serves as an example that community cultural activites are the essence for our societal life.

Landkamel 2020-2023

A 250 - year old clay house in Lower Austria called Landkamel. Worked out a concept for a centre for climate just building and vernacular architecture to develop a rurban cultural center with a residency. Non-funded initiative.

Completely ignorant about restoring a house I started working with my own hands and with hardly any tools or money until I found people with knowledge joining the project. Together we founded an association, money also flew in from supporters.

Organic Sewing 2016-2023

Organic Sewing explores the rich potential of turning used or donated fabric into an individually fitting garment.

Even without knowing how to sew we can develop these skills according to our abilities, once we know what to create, a product for ourselves or for a loved one.

My role is to facilitate the process and to empower the participants by paving the way for creativity.

Uncountable workshops during 2016-2023 at Jeanskamel Salzburg & Vienna

Embroidery on the market place, 2019

For one week I publicly embroidered on used denim in front of a market stall and invited passersby to join me. The word "love" was stitched in the language of the participant.

"Amor con amor se pagan" Américo Brizuela Cuenca, a Spanish partisan, has coined these words which I found suitable for solidarity work and communal creativity.

This workshop was commissioned by Stand 129, a cultural initiative by Caritas Wien.

Underwear from trash, 2018-2019

Within the exhibition "Haben und Brauchen" this workshop offered various possibilities to create own underwear. Realizing that we are dependent on industrial lingerie products we started to play with donated material, sizes, designs and invented brilliant and also functional objects during several workshops.

Künstlerhaus Vienna 2018-2019

Quality, not quantity. The fashion industry has a noxious effect on our climate. Action is needed. In this workshop we can explore what kind of products we want to redesign from used or donated material. How we can substitute plastic on a daily base and how to recycle the given material. The outcome of these workshop are stunning in their simplicity and beauty.

Community cultural program 2016-2013

At Jeanskamel Salzburg and Vienna I offered a weekly cultural program consisting of salon concerts, lectures, neighborhood encounters, workshops and other cultural community events.

This venture was entirely financed by "pay as you wish" for seven years.

A space for learning German together, where the student is welcome as a new inhabitant with all her/his questions, abilities and talents. Where the voluntary teacher is seen for her/his engagement.
